A holiday concert experience this year was a gift in itself. Billed as a benefit for the “Miles Exploratory Learning Center’s Departed Art Ed,” it was performed by Howe Gelb and His Melted Wires at the Loft Cinema. I first met Irena and her husband, Gene, years ago at the Polish booth at Tucson Meet Yourself, our fair city’s annual celebration of cultural (and culinary!) diversity.
