A federal judge ruled Wednesday that accused Arizona Safeway shooter, Jared Loughner, who has been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, is not mentally competent to stand trial.

Funeral services were held Thursday morning at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, for veteran Tucson Police Officer Joseph Patrick Olguin. The 52-year-old officer suffered fatal injuries Sunday morning when a car turned in front of him on 6th Street near Country Club.

The homeowner who found the passageway was renting the home, located near East Street and North Nelson Avenue. The landlord made the discovery after visiting the house because the tenants had failed to pay their rent.
